It’s taken a while but finally, Peterborough is about to get a bona-fide steak restaurant. Yes we’ve had some good restaurants in outlying villages, yes we’ve got national chain “grill” restaurants but finally, we’ve now Middletons.
Due to open officially on Friday the 8th of September, £1 million has been spent to convert two units (one was previously the tourist information centre) in St Peter’s Arcade on Bridge Street into a 180 cover restaurant (230 with outdoor seating) – making this the chain’s largest restaurant to date.
I’m sure that most people walking past will have tried to sneak a look through the doors, especially more recently now the restaurant is taking shape.
I think Middletons has the right recipe for success in Peterborough: a great location in a high traffic area, a premium-yet-accessible product and offers a product that is in demand in the city centre.
From the extensive main menu, through to the fixed-price menu (three courses for under a tenner!) and children’s menu, there’s something to suit most budgets. Even the drinks menu lists several bottles of wine for under £20 – one of the benefits of dining in Peterborough and not down in London!
If you’re looking forward to the opening make sure to follow progress on the Peterborough restaurant on its Facebook page.
