Peterborough is set to host a round of the national Tour Series cycle race being run this summer which will see riders using the City Centre as part of the circuit.
Taking place on Thursday 4th Jun at 7pm, spectators will hopefully be able to line Bridge Street and Cathedral Square to see the race taking place.
Typically though, this race coincides with the start of recent works in the town to install fountains and road barriers so I’m not sure if they’ll be tidied up for the cameras…
According to the Evening Telegraph, the 30-lap Peterborough circuit will start outside the town hall, into Cathedral Square, Church Street and Cowgate and then along Bourges Boulevard before going back onto Bridge Street.
Other towns and cities hosting the Tour Series rounds include Milton Keynes, Woking and Blackpool and apparently will include World Champions and Olympians amongst the riders.
