New line up announcements for the 2008 Isle of Wight Festival are flooding in fast. It’s now looking to be the best the IoW has seen in years and that’s saying something when we’ve seen The Prodigy, Foo Fighters, Coldplay and The Rolling Stones.
Ok, so I’m not going and I’ll have to get over that at some point but you have no excuse and should have your tickets booked and your cowboy hats packed!
As far as I’m concerned, for me the Isle of Wight Festival for 2008 has been cancelled.
It’s a shame because the line up is one of the best for years: The Kaiser Chiefs, Sex Pistols and The Police have been announced as headlining Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Other acts announced so far include Lily Allen, The Enemy, James, The Zutons, Kate Nash, Iggy & The Stooges and KT Tunstall.
If you’re a fan of music then without a doubt you’re going to have a fantastic time at the festival, so it’s a shame that the organisers have seen fit to well and truly fleece their customers with 2008 ticket sales.
India’s been one of those places I’ve always wanted to go and I’ve finally got it booked – Two weeks in sunny Kerala on white sandy beaches.
Sadly, my knowledge of India isn’t much more evolved than a menu from the local indian restaurant and a copy of a Madhur Jaffrey cook book so I’ll be going there without much of a clue.
The clocks have gone back and it’s cold, dark and miserable… but not in Australia! Down under has it all for the sun seeker.

You will never be stuck for something to do in Sydney when it has so many amazing things to offer:
Walk across the harbour bridge or if you’re a brave, take a bridge climb amongst the girders!
Take some time out at The Rocks museum or grab a handful of mates and go on a Rocks pub crawl.
Accomodation in Sydney is so varied too, for example I found a 4-star hotel on Bondi Beach for less than £42 a night! At prices like that with gorgeous hot weather, amazing people and culture, how can you afford not to go?

As someone who’s lived in the United Kindom all their life, it’s easy to take for granted destinations that are right on the doorstep.
