As the previous review of the Jimmy Spices restaurant was based on Ben’s experience, I thought it was time to visit the buffet restaurant myself to form my own opinion.
Since Jimmy Spice’s opened there has been a true split between those diners that love the experience and those that hated it so with that in mind I have to admit I was expecting the worst.
Occasionally I venture beyond the Peterborough city limits and make it as far as Lincolnshire before I get cravings for a good curry. Until now I’ve been a faithful customer of Chameli Tandoori in Holbeach but since learning that they’ve now opened a sister restaurant in Spalding – Tulip Tandoori, I may have to defect.
I’ve already heard good things about Tulip Tandoori so looking forward to paying them a visit and putting their menu through it’s paces for myself but for now you’ll have to decide for yourself.

Update – Now you can read the review of The Vineyard
Thank you to commenter Antony for letting me know that The Vineyard restaurant in Peterborough is set to open it’s doors on April 14th.
Sited in what was previously the Tom Lock Harvester on Lincoln Road, The Vinyard is rumoured to specialise in seafood – something city centre restaurants have overlooked… until now.
I’ve had it confirmed by a reliable source, Ikea are finally set to open a Peterborough branch of their superstores.
Peterborough has had an Ikea distribution warehouse for a number of years now but all we could do was dream of a superstore being built in Cambridgeshire. Now, as part of the Great Haddon development by the A1/Yaxley, Peterborough will get it’s Ikea!
To celebrate the opening of Ikea, Peterborough officials have commissioned a number of products especially for Peterborough. These are rumoured to include the FÖNTÅIN shower unit – so complicated that it takes two years to install!
