Update - Since writing the below post, I’ve now been to Flamas and you can read my personal opinion here
How did this one slip through the net? Reading an old copy of ESP Mag the other day whilst getting my hair cut, I spotted a feature on Flamas – a new South American “Flame and Grill” restaurant in Peterborough.
The Flamas restaurant website looks good, with plenty of variety on the menu for both food and drinks but something concerns me… it’s in Hampton! Whilst having a restaurant like this must be great for the Hampton locals, it doesn’t really serve the rest of Peterborough very well especially if diners want to enjoy a Caipirinha or six and then carry on into town.
I’m planning on visiting Flamas in the near future which I’ll follow up with a review but if anyone else has already been, please let me know what you thought in the comments section below.
Find Flamas at:
114 Four Chimneys Cresent,
Hampton Vale,
Peterborough PE7 8FH

The service in this restaurant is terrible.
When being sat at our table 45 minutes late and then questioning why we were told to either put up with it or go!
Hence we left and will not be returning

Hi Wendy, sorry to hear about your experience at Flamas especially as the customer service was one of the highlights for our visit! Out of interest, where did you have to wait whilst your table was being prepared – at the bar?
I thought Flamas would benefit from having a small seating area for people to wait and enjoy a couple of drinks rather than sit at the bar.

We went to Flamas for the second time last night. Just like the first visit, the food and service was excellent, the music was a little too loud, and the restaurant was busy. As we live in Hampton Vale we don’t have to worry about taxis and were able to enjoy lots of Flamas’ lovely cocktails.

Cheers for the comment, Flamas has always been busy when I’ve gone past so their location doesn’t seem to be an issue! Maybe local restaurants are the new “thing” with city centre restaurants overlooked because of the hassle with getting there, parking up, etc.
