Peterborough’s Pussy Galores at risk

It doesn’t sound good for Peterborough’s latest venture by the Mellilo’s due to a request from Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service to review the bar’s licence.

The bar was the first in Peterborough to offer something a bit more lively than the usual chain pubs in the town centre – much to criticism from local prudes who failed to understand what the business would entail.

Now the council’s licensing authority want to revoke the license for three months even though the issues raised by the survey have been resolved.

Audi RS4 performance package from AmD

Without a doubt, the first performance components usually added by anyone tuning their car for power are the air filter, exhaust system and a remap.

AmD Technik have cleverly put together a complete package of the above using the very best products in the tuning industry for the B7 chassis Audi RS4 Saloon, Avant and Cabriolet form on models made in 2006 and later.

Peterborough Council hires the A-Team to combat fly-tipping

“Huge bill for council as fly-tipping doubles” is the headline the Evening Telegraph are running with. Peterborough Council are really struggling to get it right aren’t they.

Just a few weeks after their U-turn on Peterborough’s traffic woes, the council have now revealed that fly-tipping rates across the city have almost doubled. Could this shock statistic be anything to do with their policy of now collecting the bins every two weeks instead of the usual weekly collections?

Hotels in Sydney

The clocks have gone back and it’s cold, dark and miserable… but not in Australia! Down under has it all for the sun seeker.

Check out this website for cheap hotels in Sydney Australia and get yourself booked on a fantastic holiday at great prices with daily special deals and discounts for booking in advance.

You will never be stuck for something to do in Sydney when it has so many amazing things to offer:
Walk across the harbour bridge or if you’re a brave, take a bridge climb amongst the girders!
Take some time out at The Rocks museum or grab a handful of mates and go on a Rocks pub crawl.

Accomodation in Sydney is so varied too, for example I found a 4-star hotel on Bondi Beach for less than £42 a night! At prices like that with gorgeous hot weather, amazing people and culture, how can you afford not to go?

A Halo movie would be horribly wrong

Gamers Lore have reported that a Halo movie may still be on the cards…  I didn’t even realise there was one ever in discussion!

I don’t know why it didn’t cross my mind a long time ago.  Maybe it did but I just blocked it out of my grey matter because I really don’t think a Halo movie would do the franchise justice. This is one of those times when I really should do a bit of digging on the subject to see what else has been said but I’ll ramble on all the same.

Halo works well as a computer / video game.  The artists are shit hot and visuals in Halo 3 are stunning from the sprite models through to the epic backdrops.  A Hollywood live action film would just be embarrassing, conjuring up visions of some kind of Guyver style production.

The Halo world is too big and established for a director to rework into a movie.  Games into films is a stupid business.

Instead (and I want ROYALTIES from this idea) I propose a fully CGI’d Halo experience.  That way the Master Chief and the Covenant can be as unreal as Bungie intended.

Now where’s my cheque Hollywood?
